This week's journey

Around here, our festival season lasts throughout the year with one amazing event after another. In just this upcoming weekend alone, our calendar is jam-packed with festival fun celebrating the wonders of Fall. The Kingsville Migration Festival (Oct 19 – 22) honours the legacy of internationally-acclaimed conservationist Jack Miner. History comes alive for families at Harvest Moon (Oct 17) and Fort Malden By Candlelight (Oct 21) where spooky stories of the past shed light on a bygone era. The theme of downtown destruction and downtown renewal defines the 2017 Windsor-Essex Triennial of Contemporary Art (opens Oct 21) and reflects on the expanding footprint of Windsor’s new downtown core. One of the top literary festivals in Canada, BookFest Windsor (Oct 20 – 22), is an exciting celebration of literary achievement. For headline entertainment all year long, there’s no better destination than the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor, which features household names like the hilarious George Lopez (appearing Oct 21). With exceptional dining, exciting gaming and vibrant nightlife, Caesars Windsor is the perfect choice for a weekend getaway. Come for a show, stay for the weekend.
