What an incredible year for our region! Through collaborative efforts with our stakeholders, our region saw a dramatic increase in hotel occupancy, hosted multiple international events, and received numerous industry awards. Furthermore, our next 5-year business plan was approved, we launched a new culinary strategy, and implemented a complete redesign of the TWEPI website.
Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island is revved up to announce winning the Regionalism and Cross-Border Collaboration Marketing Award at last night’s President’s Dinner at the Economic Developers Council of Ontario’s (EDCO) 58th Annual Conference and Showcase for the Henry Ford Driving Tour.
Local tourism industry professionals were invited to join Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at the Canadian Club Brand Centre and enjoyed food, drinks and door prizes!
The 2013 International Children’s Games (ICG) has been selected as the Tourism Event of the Year by the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario. The ICG was singled out for its focus on increasing visitor satisfaction, economic spend, and long-term impact on the region.
KINGSVILLE, ON – Eat, Drink, Dine Kingsville (EDDK) is set to host their second restaurant week, “Migration Fall Harvest”, which pairs the bounty of the local harvest with local wines and features local artists and artisans in their spaces. From October 14 to 19, 2014, restaurants will create a three course price fixed menu in addition to their regular offerings.
The birds & butterflies have the right idea – each fall as part of their migration they flock to the very southernmost tip of Canada. It’s the perfect fall road trip location too!
