Restaurants and bars are permitted to be open for the following services in Windsor & Essex County

  • Indoor dining with a minimum of 6′ between patron tables
  • Patio service with a minimum of 6′ between patrons and tables
  • Curbside pick up
  • Take out
  • Delivery

In addition, bars and related establishments are not permitted to serve alcohol past 11:00pm, while restaurants are not permitted to offer service past 12:00am.

Some establishments may choose to remain closed for indoor dining and drink service at their discretion.

Effective Friday June 26th at 12:01am, anyone entering a commercial business must wear a face mask in Windsor & Essex County. You are also required to provide your name and contact information for potential contact tracing in the future. Commercial businesses include any place that that is open to the public and offer goods and/or services for sale, such as retail stores, convenience stores, malls and plazas, restaurants, personal service settings, grocery stores and bakeries, gas stations, farmers’ markets, mechanic shops, and car dealerships. Those entering and not wearing a mask may be declined service and asked to leave the premises. Businesses are also required to provide alcohol based hand rub at entrance and exit points.
