Monday, June 25

Monday June 25, 2018. Fun is definitely in store as Canada and the US celebrate their Canada Day and Independence Day! Thanks to The Ford Motor Co., the title sponsor of this event for 2018, you can bring your kids out to see one of the world’s most incredible fireworks displays. This annual tradition is sure to entertain and “wow” the entire family. Grab a blanket and head for downtown Windsor for the 60th annual fireworks show!

Recognized as one of the largest shows of its kind in the world, more than 10,000 pyrotechnic effects will attract more than one million revellers to both sides of the border! Admission is free and, weather permitting, the fireworks will be set off at 9:55 pm, and last for over 30 mins!

Windsor offers a family friendly environment on 5km of uninterrupted, landscaped gardens with a dramatic view of the fireworks set against the Detroit skyline.

While waiting for the show, enjoy a fabulous meal in downtown Windsorlaugh with the kids at the Windsor Summer Fest Midway, or take a stroll through the stunning Windsor Sculpture Park. Even better, splurge with a day at Adventure Bay Family Water Park, prime seats at the Riverfront Fireworks Party and an overnight stay at a downtown Windsor hotel.

All roads north of Wyandotte Street from the bridge to Devonshire Road will be closed starting at 6 pm Wyandotte and Ouellette Avenue will be the end of the line for all buses operating out of the Windsor International Transit Terminal. Bus routes affected by the road closures are the Transway 1A and 1C, Central 3 West, Dominion 5, Dougall 6, Ottawa 4 and Walkerville 8.
