Candy Cane Lane Christmas Lights & Decorating Contest

November 26 to December 18.
The Arts, Culture & Tourism Committee is putting the call out for residents and businesses to decorate for their Candy Cane Lane Christmas Lights & Decorating Contest. From November 26 to December 18, residents can submit their home or business address to be considered for judging from December 19 to January 1 for a chance to win $3,000 worth of prizes in Essex Centre Winter Downtown Dollars, sponsored by the Essex Centre BIA.

Christmas in Tecumseh

Tecumseh residents and businesses are encouraged to decorate their property with a light display and submit the address to be added to a map for residents and visitors to use to take a stroll, bike ride or drive through Town to see all the holiday lights. View the map.

All addresses submitted with contact information will be entered into a draw to win some great prizes thanks to the support of Pathway to Potential. Submit your address

Light up the Town

Kingsville residents and businesses are encouraged to decorate!

Residential – presented by the Williams Light Show in memory of Lois Williams (People’s Choice to select winner)
Business Sector – presented by Migration Community Hall and the Town of Kingsville (Judging Panel to select winner)

The winner in each category will have their name/business and year engraved on an ornament within a Christmas tree plaque. The plaque will be prominently displayed during the holiday season at Town Hall. The winner will also have an ornament for their decoration and imagine the bragging rights for the year. The Christmas tree plaque is to be made by Kingsville District High School TechZone.

Williams Light Show

First show November 29.  Shows at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm

Our house has over 40,000 light bulbs that shimmer, twinkle, flash and change colors to holiday favorites such as Frosty The Snowman and Mr. Grinch as well as some modern hits such as Blinding Lights and The Greatest Show.

Dougall McDonald’s

The McDonald’s on Dougall has set up their Winter Wonderland display in the closed off Play Place section of the restaurant for the second year in a row. Anyone coming by can enjoy viewing the display outside through the windows.

The McDonald’s location is also a Ronald McDonald House Windsor Holiday Wish List drop off location. Donations can be accepted daily from 9 am – 6 pm until December 17.
