Each February, Ontarians are invited to participate in Heritage Week, an annual celebration of heritage in all its forms.  Heritage Week raises awareness of heritage resources and issues within communities.  Heritage Week also recognizes organizations, residents and volunteers who work to protect Ontario’s unique heritage resources.  In 2020, the Town of Essex will celebrate Heritage Week with the theme of “Bringing the Past into the Future.”
