I Move for United Way
Monday, March 1 to Sunday, March 14
Welcome to iMove for United Way, our first ever, totally virtual fundraising event that focuses on the importance of physical activity and mental health. An estimated 1.2 million children and youth in Canada are affected by mental illness – yet, only 1 in 5 children who need mental health services receives them.
Being active has many physical, social, and emotional benefits that all play an important role in the prevention and treatment of mental health issues for children and youth. By participating in iMove for United Way, you are not only supporting your own mental health, you’re helping young people in Windsor-Essex County access mental health and wellness supports they couldn’t otherwise afford. United Way wants make sure young people can continue to receive vital supports including preventative mental health and well-being programming, and timely access to mental health counselling.
Register now! Get up, get moving, and challenge yourself and others to move for 200 minutes. Whether you run, walk your dog, do yoga moves or dance in your living room we want you go get moving and raise needed funds for youth mental health.
