Kingsville Fantasy of Lights Festival
Saturday, November 17 to Monday, January 7, 2019
With a variety of events, all ages can partake in the festivities: Kingsville Fantasy Express Train Rides, Children’s Christmas Crafts & Activities, and Christmas Ginger Bread House!
Opening Day ceremony
Saturday November 17, 2018 following the Santa Claus Parade. Opening ceremonies will include Lighting of the Lights at Lakeside Park, hot chocolate, a BBQ and fireworks.
Dinner with santa
Saturday November 17, 2018 at 3:30pm. Dinner with Santa includes pasta, salad and a bun. Santa will arrive at 4 pm. Colouring and crafts will be available as well. Tickets can be purchased at the Kingsville Parks and Recreation office by calling 519-733-2123. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 3 to 11, children 2 and under are free.
Kingsville Santa Claus Parade
Saturday November 17, 2018 at 6pm. At the conclusion of the Parade, Santa will Officially “Flip the Switch” signalling the official opening of this years events.
Raise a Reader Book Tree
Saturday November 17, 2018 – Tuesday January 8, 2019. Bring your new and gently used books to the Kingsville Arena at 1741 Jasperson Lane. Your books will be added to our large Raise a Reader tree display until January 8, 2019 when all of the books are packaged and donated to the local Raise a Reader Program. They will also be collecting hats and mittens for our mitten tree to be donated to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
Gingerbread Gazebo and Fantasy Express Train
Saturday November 18 – December 23, 2018. The train runs Saturdays and Sundays from November 18 until December 23, 2018 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. If you would like to book an appointment for a large group, you can book Fridays starting November 23, 2018 until December 21, 2018. To book an appointment you can call 519-733-2123. Friday nights are only available by appointment.
The Christmas Gingerbread Gazebo is open during the train rides. Head inside to purchase your train tickets and a hot beverage.
Breakfast With Santa and Children’s Christmas Activities
Sunday November 25, 2018 at 9:30am. Head to the Lakeside Park Pavilion (315 Queen Street) for a breakfast with Santa and children’s activities! Breakfast is served from 9:30am until 11:00am. Children can enjoy crafts, games, and treats from 9:30am until 2:00pm. This is the perfect place to make those last minute Christmas gifts!
Sip and Shop Holiday Nights
Saturday December 1 from 2-9pm and Sunday December 2, 2018 from 2-8pm. Head to the Lakeside Park Pavilion (315 Queen Street) and do some of your Christmas shopping. Santa will be available on Sunday from 4:00pm until 6:00pm for free visits and photographs with children. Local vendors will have one of a kind gifts for sale. You can also purchase a glass of local wine to enjoy while you shop! Admission is free.
