Riverfront InterArts presents ParkDances: A Festival of Dance
Sunday, July 29, 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Riverfront InterArts, in partnership with Windsor Dance Network, is pleased to present ParkDances: A Festival of Dance this summer. This celebration of movement and culture takes place along Windsor’s Waterfront.
The first-of-its-kind festival features artists of all levels from across North America, including Tentacle Tribe of Montreal, known for their electric duet Nobody Likes a Pixelated Squid, and Barbara Selinger representing DDCdances of Detroit. Also featured are the Ruth Ellis Centre Voguers, a group of dancers from a Detroit shelter providing support to at-risk LGBTQ+ youth. Joining them is 10-year old cellist and composer Jivan Ramesh, who already has a wealth of credits under his belt, including a performance at Carnegie Hall. Among other performances include those by Windsor-locals, Anh Nguyen of HNM Dance Company and Mary Jo Mullins. Several other local performers and students of all experience levels will also be participating.
