Tchaikovsky’s Romeo & Juliet

Saturday, May 8, 2021, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Many believe that Romanticism is best expressed through classical music (And we agree!). By speaking to our souls without the use of words, music communicates where words leave off. Tchaikovsky’s tone poem Romeo and Juliet tells the story of the star-crossed lovers without a word spoken. Pair that with Antonin Dvorak’s Symphony No. 8 and Victor Herbert’s Cello Concerto No. 2 featuring our very own principal cellist, Andrew McIntosh and you have an evening of romanticism at its late 19th century heights.
