Honouring Jack Miner on his birthday with a raffle-based dinner night with some groovy music and a curbside dinner in your car.
Please join us for our annual game dinner to support The Jack Miner Migratory Bird Sanctuary. This year’s event is going to be different than other years due to Covid-19. We will be asking guests to pick up their food curbside between 5-7pm. A live band will be playing at the pavilion until 8pm so please enjoy the food and band from your vehicle. This year’s menu includes water buffalo meatballs, pheasant stir fry, venison sausage with peppers, pickerel chowder, coleslaw, potatoes, a bun, and a bottle of water. Utensils and napkins will be provided so the food can be enjoyed while it is still hot.
On Friday, April 9th, 2021 we will be having a Facebook live stream raffle for our donated prize baskets. All guests who purchase an event ticket will be entered into this draw. Prizes will be picked up the next day at the dinner.
This event is held annually during National Wildlife Week. This week is celebrated by the family and friends of the sanctuary because it was created to honor all the hard work Jack Miner did. Proceeds from this event will be used to fund The Jack Miner Migratory Bird Sanctuary and allow us to continue the work of the late Jack Miner whose conservation efforts focus on the care and assistance of the Canadian goose population during their migratory journey.
