20th Anniversary edition! With safety protocols in place, we plan to hold all events online this year. And with these virtual capabilities we are able to provide you a more extensive and diverse selection of authors and literature than ever before! We are featuring a varied and full slate including diverse voices from First Nation and Metis authors, fiction and non-fiction perspectives, a panel featuring Black history, and one of our most popular annual offerings, the Poetry Café. Throughout the festival we will be showcasing the talents of Canadian literary luminaries such as Jael Richardson, Gary Barwin, Jenn Sookfong Lee, Marcello Di Cintio, and homegrown hero/Canada Reads finalist Natalie Zina Walschots.
This year we are introducing a one-time “goodwill ticket price”. It is important to us that BookFest/Festival du livre be accessible to everyone. Therefore we are asking participants to take into consideration what they are able to pay and the number of events they plan to attend. Choose the ticket price works best for you.
Visit our website to browse the author bios and books. You will find a direct link to the publishers’ websites if you are interested in purchasing any of the titles.
