Windsor Essex Canada Day Guide 2021

Are you looking for a way to celebrate Canada Day? Check out these treats and events to get you into the red and white spirit!
June 28. The Parade Company is looking forward to presenting the 2021 Ford Fireworks which will light up the sky Monday, June 28th at 9pm. Watch exclusively on WDIV Channel 4 Detroit (cable 5/714) online as they broadcast the fireworks from an undisclosed location.
Note: the 2021 Ford Fireworks will not be taking place on the Windsor waterfront, and will instead take place at a suburban lake in Michigan, with no public access to view. Please refrain from visiting the downtown core, as they will not be visible from any waterfront location.
Canada Day in Amherstburg
June 29. So much to Celebrate! Pick up your “All Canadian Amherstburg Celebration Kit” complete with crafts, sweet treats and your very own print of the 2021 Community Mosaic Mural (entry participants, this is for you too). Curb side pick up at the Gordon House 266 Dalhousie St.

Canada Day in Kingsville
July 1. Activities include a Community-wide Scavenger Hunt, pick up one of the 500 free Canada Day bags full of treats. Pick up a free cupcake by stopping by one of the participating businesses. Plus, travel along our first ever Canada Day Food Trail and purchase Canadian-themed menu items. Plus, all day, the Parks and Recreation team will be posting activities for you to enjoy. Then end the night by watching the Canada Day Virtual Fireworks with us at 9:30 PM. See website for details.
Triumph: A Canada Day Virtual Fireworks Experience
July 1. Join in on the Canada Day for a free virtual fireworks experience presented by Tim Hortons and AM800. In partnership with The City of Windsor, The Town of Amherstburg, The Town of Essex, The Town of Kingsville, The Municipality of Lakeshore, The Town of LaSalle, The Municipality of Leamington, The Township of Pelee and the Town of Tecumseh – the virtual fireworks will be available to view from anywhere in Windsor Essex

2021 Canada D’Eh Run Virtual 5K
July 1. Join in the largest and most patriotic race in Canada! In 2021, the Canada D’Eh 5K will be virtual – register and run/walk in your own neighbourhood. You have two options for recording the results from your run or walk: use the Asics Runkeeper app or use your watch or other tracking app and send in a screenshot. Register and receive a bib and shirt in the mail. All finishers get an amazing special edition Finishers Medal. This year the nurses and healthcare professionals are honoured as the ‘Great Canadian’ Award winners. Check out the new stethoscope-inspired Canada D’Eh Run medal. This race sells out every year, hurry and register today! Registration closes June 25.
Parade of Activities
