Gloria began her pottery career in 1977, the same year she began teaching pottery classes at both St. Clair College and her pottery studios. Her work and products have been sold and displayed at many art events and galleries in Ontario since 1973. Her wheel thrown pottery is generally functional in nature with glazes ranging from off-white with multi-coloured abstract florals to more solid toned glazes in matte green, celadon, taupe and blue. She also creates unique pottery art combining throwing and hand-building techniques. Recently she has been exploring RAKU firing to produce iridescent, crackle and lustered non functional forms.
