SHOPPING SPREE GIVEAWAY

From a consumer end, I think a shopping spree giveaway would be great. We can discuss how to execute, but it can be hosted online through our woobox platform for data capturing, and we can give away a $500 shopping spree at Devonshire Mall to kick off the campaign and get people inspired to shop again.

We can select a media partner to be the major focus of this campaign (or two – one print and one radio) to further push this message outside of the WERCOC and TWEPI social channels.

SHOPPING CENTRES

We can also add text and images in columns. This column would be good to lead into major retail centres like Devonshire Mall and Windsor Crossing Premium Outlets. We can edit their pages to have more details to highlight their retail options.

SHOPPING DISTRICTS & BOUTIQUE SHOPS

This section would be great to link to BIA’s and Chambers that represent multiple types of businesses in various areas.

ARTISANS

This section would be for small businesses. Artisans. Makers. It would tie in with our W.E. Made It Program heavily.

This map would be a great tool to be redeveloped just for retail. Each map would then link to a new custom page we create for each area. The page can have images and any content we want – and we can create a layout once we agree what that should look like. I imagine:

  • Introductory paragraph
  • Area to highlight major retail centres
  • Area to highlight Business Improvement Areas
  • Everything would link to listings already within VWE webpage. We may need to hand hold for some updating

RETAIL RESOURCES

Though this is a consumer facing program, we can build in an element here that will lead to our Recources page being developed, to help with what local, provincial and federal teams have put together as part of COVID recovery plans.
