Cafe Amor & Art is a small family endeavour whose main product is specialty coffee: lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites, americanos, cortados, macchiatos, flavoured coffees, matchas, chais, hot chocolate & iced drinks. We complement with Mexican sandwiches, soups, burritos, pastry and our famous 3 leches cake and caramel flan. Our shop is adorned with Latin-american motives such books, paintings, pottery, colourful murals and local art which create a cozy, quaint, and warm atmosphere where our customers can feel at home, can relax and be themselves.

More than Coffee:

For as long as she can remember, it has been Amor Hernandez’s dream to open her own coffee shop. In July 2020, that dream came true when her and her husband started the Café Amor & Art coffee shop. Café Amor & Art is located at 1464 Ottawa St and not only serves a menu rich with traditional Mexican cuisine, but also acts as a safe and welcoming space for artists and creatives to share their work.

Growing up in a small village in Mexico, Amor and her family frequently opened the doors of their home to their community. Their home was a space in her village in which all were welcome to come together and drink coffee, as such she wishes to bring that same kind of camaraderie and community from her home to Windsor-Essex.

The walls of Café Amor & Art are filled with paintings and sculptures from local artists, many of which are inspired by Latin American culture. Amor and her family have a strong passion for art and wish to make their coffee shop a place to collaborate, create, and display art.

Authentic Mexican Culture:

The paintings that line the walls of Café Amor & Art are not the only things in the restaurant inspired by Latin American culture, their food and drinks are as well. Their menu is filled with a variety of authentic Mexican breakfast and lunch dishes, like their Chicken Tinga Sandwich.

In addition to their food, their incredible coffee is sure to brighten anyone’s morning. With years of experience in the preparation of coffee products, Café Amor & Art is not only able to create stunning beverages, but is also able to fill them with an array of incredible flavours.
