Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11th, 2001, and to recognize the families, first responders and communities forever impacted by that day. As part of today`s morning commemoration, border crossings in Michigan will briefly close, including the Gordie Howe International Bridge, Ambassador Bridge and Windsor-Detroit Tunnel.
For vehicles, traffic will be impacted starting at 8:46am with closures expected to last approximately 30 minutes or less.
For pedestrians and cyclists, the Gordie Howe International Bridge multi-use path will open at 9:30 a.m. instead of its regular 8 a.m. opening.
