Ganatchio Trail
In accordance with the province’s Stay-at-Home order, several measures are in place to ensure your safety at most businesses and attractions.
Retail locations are those deemed essential and are only able to provide curbside pick-up or delivery. Essential service businesses are permitted up to 50% of their official capacity.
Most attractions are closed due to limited capacity options. Please contact any establishment directly for the status of their service and potential change in hours.
Whether walking, cycling or jogging, the Ganatchio Trail lets you explore 8 km of scenic trails stretching from the City of Windsor to the Town of Tecumseh. Named after the Indian word for Lake St.Clair, the Ganatchio Trail features three distinct sections: urban, suburban and naturalized parkland. Along the way you will come across Sandpoint Beach with picnic areas, a play unit and a seasonally life guarded beach on the Detroit River. Located where the Detroit River meets Lake St.Clair, Lakeview Park Marina is the closest public marina to Windsor’s City Centre. In addition to 300 seasonal docks, the marina offers transient dockage for single boats or large clubs. The Ganatchio Trail also features exceptional views of the Detroit River.
