The Totem Poles at Sandpoint Beach: Wikinanish

In accordance with the Province of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen several measures are in place to ensure your safety at most businesses and attractions. This includes proper social distancing measures, mandatory masks, and as well capacity limits at some attractions. Please contact businesses prior to visiting for service restrictions.

In 1982, the Rotary Club of Windsor – St. Clair assisted in funding the creation of the Sandpoint Beach Totem Pole. A Nootkon Native, Wikinanish, worked for over 14 months to create this beautiful Totem Pole. Painted red cedar, it is 1524cm x 86cm (diameter). The red cedar log is from the area of British Colombia where the Nootka peoples live.

Address: 10300 Riverside Dr. E, Windsor, ON, N8P 1A4
